Why we built Rovari

We built Rovari so owners and staff can keep memberships, billing, visits, retail, and follow-up together as they run a gym, studio, or school.

When a household needs separate payers

A family shares a membership, then needs separate billing. You need to agree the new prices and keep each person’s member record.

Staff review who each payer will cover and the prices for the next billing period. The current payer approves the change; the new payer accepts their price and adds a card. Member records stay in place, and earlier bills stay with the original account.

Classes and open gym

Some members book a class. Others come in to use the gym floor. Your front desk needs to check both kinds of visit against the member’s access.

Rovari records class attendance and general visits without a class booking. The countertop check-in station needs an internet connection and staff supervision. It does not control doors for unstaffed entry.

Following up with new inquiries

Someone asks about joining. A staff member needs to take responsibility for the reply, with a record of contact so the next person can pick up the work.

Rovari gives staff an assigned follow-up list. Record calls and emails made outside Rovari against the follow-up. Member conversations have their own inbox. Automated outreach and marketing campaigns need a separate tool.

Mindbody and Rovari

What Mindbody offers

Mindbody’s plans include booking, payments, reporting, and a listing on its consumer app. Higher packages add scheduling and analytics tools, with email and text campaigns and a sales pipeline in Ultimate.[1]

Get the required tier, add-ons, processing, applicable marketplace fees, and contract terms in writing. The starting subscription is not the full bill.[1]

How Rovari handles this
Rovari covers memberships, billing, bookings, staffed visits, retail, staff follow-up, and reports. It also offers member conversations and program levels. Marketing campaigns, workout programming, and a directory where new customers can find your business need separate tools.
Ask to see this in a demo
Separate the operations you need from marketing and workout programming. Check which tools your team would keep and compare the combined cost.

WellnessLiving and Rovari

What WellnessLiving offers

WellnessLiving’s fitness software combines scheduling, client management, payments, reporting, and marketing tools. Its Explorer directory helps consumers discover listed businesses.[2, 3]

The advertised Business and BusinessPro discounts last two months; the current offer has an October 16, 2026 deadline. Annual prices differ. Confirm ongoing subscription, app, messaging, and processing costs.[4]

How Rovari handles this
Rovari shows owners and managers money received and amounts still owed. Failed payments and unpaid invoices do not count as money received. Bank payouts and processing fees are separate from these figures.
Ask to see this in a demo
Follow a failed payment, a later successful payment, and a refund through the report. Ask the vendor to explain each figure and how it differs from the amount paid into your bank.

TeamUp and Rovari

What TeamUp offers

TeamUp combines class and appointment booking, memberships, Stripe and GoCardless payments, waivers, a point of sale, and a members app. A custom branded app and the Marketing Suite are paid add-ons.[5, 6, 7, 8, 9]

Stripe and GoCardless processing fees are separate. TeamUp’s help lists an extra 0.20% GoCardless app fee, while its marketing says no gateway fee; confirm the current charge. The branded app ($99/month) and Marketing Suite ($109/month) cost extra; no setup fee or contract.[5, 10, 6, 9]

How Rovari handles this
Rovari sets yearly hold limits and a hold price for each reason, such as travel or injury. Payers can request a pause in the portal, and nothing changes until staff record the hold. Without automatic hold pricing, the affected bill waits for an owner or manager to approve it.
Ask to see this in a demo
Put a member with a class-limited membership on a hold that ends mid-month. Show the skipped payments, the prorated restart charge, and the class allowance after the hold.

Pike13 and Rovari

What Pike13 offers

Pike13 offers scheduling for classes, courses, and appointments, recurring billing, family accounts, and client, staff, and kiosk apps. Advanced adds waivers and email marketing; Premium adds Skill Tracking and API access.[11, 12, 13, 14]

Card and ACH payments use your merchant processor, such as Celero or Stripe, at its own rates. A branded app has a setup fee and requires your own Apple developer account. Separately owned franchise locations carry per-location charges.[11, 15]

How Rovari handles this
Rovari publishes private-session availability that members and guardians book in the portal, free or with a fee. Members can also reserve a run of upcoming classes at once when those classes have no fee.
Ask to see this in a demo
Set up a parent who pays for two children on different plans. Show a declined payment, what each child can still book, and how staff see it on the roster.

ABC Glofox and Rovari

What ABC Glofox offers

Glofox offers memberships, scheduling, billing, and bookings through its member app and website. Its payment tools include recurring billing and handling failed payments.[16]

Its custom branded app is an optional add-on on Essential and Boost and included in Elite. Confirm currency, the required package, processing, and onboarding in the quote.[17]

How Rovari handles this
Rovari’s member portal connects memberships, bookings, payer invoices, and requests for staff review. A payer sees their own billing account; being a guardian does not reveal another payer’s invoices.
Ask to see this in a demo
Follow a household member from booking to a billing question. Show which adult can book, sign a waiver, pay, and view invoices.

What to check before switching

Use the same cases and requirements with every vendor, including Rovari.

  1. Bring one difficult case from your business: a household split, a pause across a paid period, or a declined renewal. Ask to see the complete outcome, including member access and the next invoice.

  2. Compare the ongoing subscription at your actual member and location count, required add-ons, processing rates and fixed fees, messaging allowances, setup costs, and contract or cancellation terms.

  3. Check which records you can move in and out, who must add a card again, and when the old system stops charging. Try a sample export and check the first bills before moving everyone.

  4. Confirm the country, currency, payment methods, door hardware, and specialist features your business needs. Ask to see the specific tasks your team handles before choosing a platform.
